Manuel R. Cuellar

Manuel R. Cuellar is a Washington, DC–based associate professor of Spanish literature at George Washington University and a lifelong practitioner of Mexican Ballet Folklórico. A native of Chihuahua, Mexico, he brings over three decades of dance experience to his work with DC Corazon Folklorico Dance Company, preserving and performing traditional Mexican dance. Through both scholarship and performance, he explores how culture, history, and identity are carried through movement.
