Zuri Storyworks is a non-profit who's mission is to elevate Black Storytelling and nurture social change

What we do
Zuri Storyworks amplifies Black creatives in film, photography, and visual storytelling. As a non-profit production company, we provide mentorship, training, and strategic support to help storytellers thrive—both artistically and professionally.
Our Core mission
We empower Black visual storytellers by equipping them with the skills, resources, and opportunities to create bold, meaningful work that sparks dialogue and drives change.
The Kipaji lab
The Kipaji Lab (the Lab) is a personal and professional development training program grounded in a model of transformative learning – a way of learning that gives individuals greater awareness of structures that impact the way the see, think, and create. The Lab is dedicated to developing creatives who are committed to using visual storytelling to advance Black liberation across the Diaspora.

visionary leaders
With a powerful blend of creative vision and strategic expertise, Dr. Taylor and Koffi Assouan drive the Kipaji Lab’s impact in Africa. Dr. Taylor’s leadership in transformative learning and visual storytelling empowers emerging artists with the skills to break creative barriers, while Koffi’s deep experience in economic development and entrepreneurship builds the infrastructure for sustainable growth.
Together, they ensure The Kipaji Lab is more than a training program—it’s a movement that equips storytellers with the tools, networks, and resources to thrive in an industry that too often overlooks them. Through Zuri’s outreach and direct engagement in Africa, they are fostering a new generation of storytellers who can shape culture and shift narratives on a global scale.
